Your initial session
Rather than a brief introductory call, I offer a full 50-minute first session at a reduced price of £50.
I choose to work this way because I believe it can be a more neuro-affirming way to begin therapy. A brief phone call with someone you have never spoken to before can feel daunting, and you may feel pressure to explain yourself or share things before you feel ready. Transitions can also be difficult, and a full session gives us time to arrive and settle into the space together, whether we are meeting online or in person.
I also believe the heart of counselling lies in the relationship between us. A full session gives us the space to get an authentic sense of what it's like to work together, without rushing or feeling pressured to share too much too soon.
There's no expectation to continue after this session. It's simply a gentle, spacious opportunity for both of us to see whether the fit feels right.
Where we meet
In Person - The Practice Rooms, Brighton
A calm, welcoming space in the heart of Brighton's historic Lanes.
The practice rooms are light, warm and full of character, housed within a beautiful historic building in central Brighton. They're easy to reach by public transport, with bus stops nearby, and there are toilets available within the building. Please note, the rooms are accessed by stairs.
When you arrive, you'll find:
-
A warm, non-clinical space with character
-
Water available during your session
-
A selection of fidget tools to use if helpful
-
A quiet, welcoming environment to settle into

Online - From the comfort of your own home
Online sessions take place via a private, encrypted video call. I always make sure I am in a quiet, private space where our sessions can remain confidential.
You can make your space your own, too. Bring whatever helps you feel comfortable and supported during our time together, whether that's a favourite drink, a blanket, fidget tools, a comfort object or anything else that helps you feel more at ease.

Ready to take the next step?
If you're ready to explore working together, the next step is to complete my short
It takes around a minute and gives me a little context about what brings you to therapy, so your first session can focus on you and our time together, rather than gathering information.
